3-axis machining center WEMAS VZ with CNC control, Heidenhain high-speed cutting iTNC 530 (with extension of the smarT.NC user interface). Operating hours: Spindle running time: 7949 and machine on: 23722: Machine stand: The base frame of the machine consists of heavily ribbed "Meehanite cast". The entire frame structure is stress relieved prior to mechanical processing. The machine table was also dimensioned accordingly large. This enables the machine to withstand high loads and guarantees low-vibration operation. Main spindle: The work spindle has multiple bearings and is guided by the precision angular contact ball bearings. This construction enables the highest load capacity of the spindle and ensures extremely smooth running even with the heaviest machining. The spindle blow-out system protects the spindle cone and the tool holder from coolant and chips. Main spindle drive: The digital main drive guarantees a very high torque in the lower speed range as well as constant power values at high speeds. Since both the power and torque specifications depend on the duty cycle, short-term peak outputs are possible without overloading the machine and reducing the speed. Slide and guides: High-precision linear guides are used as guide elements for all axes. This construction enables quick, precise and stable guidance of the table with maximum load capacity, while at the same time eliminating the "stick-slip effect". Long service life with a high level of maintenance-free operation as well as high rapid traverse and feed speeds are further advantages of this system. The feed movements in the individual axes are implemented using ball screws and stable spindle nuts, in the X-Y-Z axes in a preloaded design. All axes are driven by powerful digital AC axis drives. These are the most important prerequisites for true-to-contour milling results. Tool changer: The tool changer with double gripper has a capacity of 30 tools. Tool diameter max. 75 mm, tool weight max. 8 kg, tool length max. 300 mm. The tools are transferred directly from the tool magazine to the spindle during the tool change. The double gripper is swiveled under the spindle nose for the change process. This significantly shortened the changeover times. The tool selection is bi-directional and takes the shortest route. The tools in the magazine are optimally protected by their horizontal position.
